Peter Puzzlemaker

Compiled and designed by George Carlson. I'm assuming that means all layouts, drawings, lettering etc is by Mr. Carlson. The puzzles and riddles were probably collected by "John Martin" et al. A wonderful children's book from the late '20s . I'll be posting more in the days to come.

John Martin was a publisher or editor of a series of children's books, including Peter Puzzlemaker and an annual 'Big Book for Little Folk'. My father had PP and one of the Big Books, which I grew up with and highly recommend. PP came with a paper padlock with which to paste shut the answer pages. Needless to say, by the time I read it those pages had long since been reopened.
